Rise Up for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC). Foundation4GirlsLeadership (F4GL) is a charity and not for profit organisation registered in Malawi, Southern Africa. The organisation was founded by Memory Banda, a child rights activist and a campaigner against Child marriage in Malawi. The organisation is dedicated to raising young girls leaders, promoting their rights and improving access to education to young girls including orphans. F4GL focuses on skill development, leadership and empowerment of girls and young women in Malawi. It also supports girls in education and access to sexual reproductive health rights. The organisation implements mentorship and coaching sessions and focuses on goal setting, self-esteem and confidence building, and promotion of education. Vulnerable orphan girls will have an opportunity for school bursary and will be linked to vocation skills institutions. The target group will have leadership trainings and will be involved in intensive leadership and empowerment trainings covering the following topics; Confidence building, health awareness, entrepreneurship, and advocacy. Entrepreneurship skills include offering financial trainings and financial literacy trainings and encouraging locale savings schemes. The trainings will help to build a generation of girls and young women who are better equipped to face marginalised status in which they find themselves in and rise above. The vulnerable girls will be supported and provided with psycho-social support and care. The existing community structures which support and promote the rights of girls and child protection structures will equally be strengthened to provide a conducive environment to vulnerable orphan girls.
